The founder

Prachi Poman is a Mumbai-based architect and interior designer who has spent her career understanding how objects change spaces.

Not decoratively — fundamentally. The way a single well-chosen piece on a surface shifts the entire energy of a room. The way proportion, finish, and material interact with light. The way some objects make a space feel considered, and others — regardless of price — make it feel incomplete.

It was this trained eye that built SVARNA.

When Prachi began looking for sacred artifacts that met the standard she held for everything else she specified in her projects — pieces that were beautiful by any measure, not just by category — she found a gap. The mass market offered quantity. The premium market offered price tags without commensurate quality. What did not exist was curation: someone who understood both the spiritual tradition and the design standard, choosing with both in mind.

SVARNA is that curation.

Every piece in the collection has passed through the same eye that designs homes and spaces for a living. If it does not belong in a beautifully designed space, it does not belong in SVARNA.
